I have some strange thoughts that I can’t help but share with you. They make me think, and I hope they make you think too.
Here are some of my qualifications to say I’m a little weird.

- Playing soccer in the 70s was a fun and exciting experience for me. The games were always competitive and there was always a sense of community among the players. We all supported each other, regardless of our hometowns or affiliations.
-
I joined a college which had never fielded a soccer team before. The experience was unique and I enjoyed it immensely. The team spirit was strong and the players worked hard together. We made some great progress and I’m grateful to have been a part of it. During the SR year in college, our team was undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation going into for the national tournament.

- I wore a unique hat to every game of my SR soccer season. I was my lucky charm. It didn’t fit with the uniform.

- Before I was 16, I learned how to SCUBA dive. It’s one of my favorite activities, and it’s something that I really enjoy doing. It’s a great way to explore new areas and see some amazing sights.
- As a missionary in Nairobi from 1985-1987, my experiences were both enriching and challenging. The people of Kenya were warm and welcoming, but there was also a great deal of poverty and despair.

- Playing soccer in Nairobi was a unique experience for me. I wasn’t the only one who found this out; everyone I played with had never seen an American player before. I was the only American in all the leagues in Nairobi.

- Teaching computer classes for six and a half years was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The students in my classes were varied, intelligent, and always willing to learn. They made me better as a teacher and person.
- Skydiving is one of my favorite things to do. It’s exhilarating and peaceful all at the same time. When it comes to skydiving, Miami is definitely the place to be. I earned a skydiving license.
- I helped convert my truck from gas to electric.
